About Us
Lavame’a Ta’e’iloa Disabled People Association Incorporated (LATA) is a self-advocacy Group, non-profitable organization. Its headquarter is situated in Nuku’alofa, Kingdom of Tonga Islands. This organization was established in April 17th 2018 and registered under the Charitable Act on 15TH May 2019. LATA is an Self- advocacy Group of organization advocating for the rights of people with disabilities in the Kingdom of Tonga. The Self- advocacy group is done by people with disabilities for people with disabilities. LATA was establish to empower PWD to live independently upon themselves and also shift from depending on charity to the human rights approach.
